Join us at the Brookside Country Club, located at the Rose Bowl, for a great time! The Golf Tournament will be followed with a Networking Event, Silent and Live Auction to support the local COVID-19 affected small business, Mijares Mexican Restaurant.  Mijares has faced many hardships this past year during the COVID-19 pandemic and we hope to support them by donating the proceeds of the Silent and Live Auction to their restaurant.

A Message from our Chapter President

Online networking has become an integral part of our daily business interactions.  We expose ourselves to hundreds of new people every day.  However, are we really connecting with people on an organic level or are these connections only superficial?  The old adage “It’s not what you know. It’s who you know” is no longer relevant in this engaging fast-paced modern workforce.  Today’s workforce is tailored around the culture of “It’s not who you know. It’s who knows you”.  I joined NCMA to network with people in the acquisitions career field to stay up to date with industry.  Today, I challenge you all to step out of your comfort zones and allow your careers to grow by engaging with the leaders of the acquisition community.  Join us at our next NCMA event to further your career through education, experience and relationship building.  Let’s build our careers together!

Tom Koponen, CFCM

Staying Connected

As our country continues to navigate and respond to COVID-19, NCMA San Gabriel Chapter remains committed to you.  In an effort to remain connected through the course of the pandemic, the Executive Board is diligently working to uphold our mission to advance the contract management profession.  We are in this together and with the safety measures we are practicing, our chapter and community  will slow the spread of COVID-19.  In the meantime, we hope to provide members with the services and support they need.
